i'm a psychologist, and i was single foreverrr (for nearly 8 years, to be exact).
and for the first 6 and a half of those years, i was kind of bitter. and lonely. and miserable.
we're talking decidedly NOT cute movie-montage single.
i was the kind where i had done ALL the work, read every possible book, and cheered on all my friends through the beginnings (and middles) of their love stories.
and i was shrouded in shame about my singleness.
i truly believed i was defective.
and i harbored a deep, secret fear that i would never, ever find love. even though love is all i had ever wanted.
eventually, i got fed up.
i decided to combine my clinical expertise, my obsession with woo and spirituality, and my own hard-won wisdom to change my own story — and rewrite my narrative about my singleness and myself in the process.
everything in this experiment is what actually moved the needle for me and for the women i've dedicated my career to helping.
inside the experiment, i'll walk you, baby step-by-baby step, through using real psychology (belief rewriting, emotion regulation, and behavior change) combined with a healthy dose of woo and spirituality to practice new ways of feeling, seeing, and believing in the love that already exists in your life, simply because you exist.
no toxic positivity. no "just love yourself!" no pretending the ache isn't real.
the ache is real. and so is the life you can build while it visits.
