selfworkaholic

your waiting room era is over.

the 30-day experiment to activate your most magnetic, joyful, loved, self (no partner required).

i'm ready to start living

you've been doing everything right.

you show up for your friends. you work hard to build a career. you take care of your mental and your physical health.

and yet, there's still this low hum underneath it all. it's a nagging sense that your real life starts later. when your person shows up. when you're finally in love.

so, you half-live. you don't put art on the walls. you don't book the solo trip. you keep one part of yourself in the waiting room, eyes on the door.

the worst part is that you KNOW BETTER.

but, sometimes, you still can't help it.

what you need is a SHIFT.

here's what's actually happening

somewhere along the way, your brain learned an equation:

partnered = real life. single = waiting.

and once a belief like that gets installed, it organizes everything.

the good news is that you're stuck in an old story. and stories can be rewritten.

in the old story, every instagram photo of a happy couple is just a funhouse mirror pointing out your own misery. every birthday that passes feels like a deadline you've already missed.

psychology is clear on this: you can't out-logic a belief you've never named, and you can't think your way into a life you're not practicing.

which is why the pep talks don't stick. why the self-help books don't quite move the needle, and why "just enjoy being single!" makes you want to scream.

you can know all the right things and still feel the floor drop when the engagement announcement loads.

the fix isn't more positivity. it's a process: name the story, grieve it properly, choose a new one — and then practice it into your actual days.

that's the single shift.

imagine it's one month from now

you wake up in a life that feels like the single era you've seen in movies — maybe you flirt with your barista, or you spend saturdays at brunch with other single friends.

the story in your head has changed from "why hasn't it happened for me" to "look how f***ing cool my life is."

you have a plan for the hard days — the wedding invite, the "seeing anyone?" at dinner. you catch yourself before you spiral.

you know exactly who you are outside of a relationship status. your vision board on your phone background is starting to look more and more like your lived reality. you just feel lighter.

and here's the wildest part: you're not gritting your teeth through any of it. you're actually having fun.

this is not about giving up on love. it's about becoming so at home in your own life that love gets to be a want, not a life vest to save you from drowning.

your hot, cool, single era doesn't start when someone picks you. it starts right the f*** now.

hi, i'm rose 🌹

i'm a psychologist, and i was single foreverrr (for nearly 8 years, to be exact).

and for the first 6 and a half of those years, i was kind of bitter. and lonely. and miserable.

we're talking decidedly NOT cute movie-montage single.

i was the kind where i had done ALL the work, read every possible book, and cheered on all my friends through the beginnings (and middles) of their love stories.

and i was shrouded in shame about my singleness.

i truly believed i was defective.

and i harbored a deep, secret fear that i would never, ever find love. even though love is all i had ever wanted.

eventually, i got fed up.

i decided to combine my clinical expertise, my obsession with woo and spirituality, and my own hard-won wisdom to change my own story — and rewrite my narrative about my singleness and myself in the process.

everything in this experiment is what actually moved the needle for me and for the women i've dedicated my career to helping.

inside the experiment, i'll walk you, baby step-by-baby step, through using real psychology (belief rewriting, emotion regulation, and behavior change) combined with a healthy dose of woo and spirituality to practice new ways of feeling, seeing, and believing in the love that already exists in your life, simply because you exist.

no toxic positivity. no "just love yourself!" no pretending the ache isn't real.

the ache is real. and so is the life you can build while it visits.

you might be wondering

"i've tried self-help stuff before and it didn't stick."

i totally get it, and we've all been there. my personal belief is that every time we try, even if we don't feel like we've made progress, we've woven a little bit more of our own self-healing tapestry. also, i designed the single shift experiment with the struggles of people who are well-versed in self-help in mind, so i made a few key adjustments. first, most self-help fails for one reason: it skips the grief and jumps straight to positivity, so the new belief has nowhere to root. we do this in the right order — name, grieve, choose, practice. second, the single shift experiment is designed to outrun any perfectionistic tendencies that have kept you stuck in the past. this is done first, by making small, actionable practices the foundation of the course, and second, by regularly habit-stacking psychological practices that are meant to engender real change, not just quick fixes. every day asks for one small action, not a personality transplant.

"how much time does this actually take?"

5–15 minutes a day, monday through friday. the biggest single assignment (your Shifted Era Vision Board, day 9) is about 15 minutes. on saturdays, you will practice your anti-saturday scaries protocol, and every sunday has a new guided meditation for you, should you wish to use it. this is designed for a full life, not a retreat. (the weekly live Q&A call is on top of that — come whenever you want coaching.)

"is this anti-dating? i still want a partner."

not even a little. wanting love is beautiful — your longing is proof of how much love you're capable of, not proof something's wrong with you. this experiment just refuses to let your life wait for it. (and when you're ready to date again, you'll be doing it from a full life instead of an empty waiting room.)

"what if i fall behind?"

then you pick up where you left off. the lessons are yours to keep — there's no falling off the wagon, only coming back. coming back is literally one of the lessons.

"what if i can't make the live calls?"

come when you can, catch up when you can't. every call is recorded and available for playback, so you never actually miss one — you just watch it later, on your own time.

"is this therapy?"

no. the single shift 30-day experiment, and all selfworkaholic tools, are meant to provide education, hope, and inspiration for your experience, created by a psychologist. it is not treatment, diagnosis, or a therapeutic relationship, and it's not a substitute for working with your own therapist. (full details in the footer.)

"when does it start?"

we all start together on september 14 — lessons land in your inbox each weekday morning.

the real you. minus the single scaries. in only 30 days.

the story that says your real life starts later? it's been running long enough.

thirty days. five to fifteen minutes at a time. one small brave action a day.

you've been waiting long enough. it's time to come home to the you you've always been. real change is possible.

with love 🌀 xo, rose
