terms of use

last updated october 10, 2026

by enrolling in the single shift or using thesingleshift.com, you agree to these terms. "we" means selfworkaholic and rose miller, ph.d. "you" means you, the participant.

education, not therapy

the single shift is meant to provide hope, inspiration, and education. it is not a substitute for mental health treatment, and it is not diagnosis or treatment of any condition.

rose is a psychologist, but she is not your psychologist. buying or taking this program does not create a therapist–client relationship.

if you are in crisis, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency department.

you're responsible for your own choices while taking part, including deciding whether an exercise is right for you. if something brings up more than you can manage on your own, please pause and reach out to a licensed professional.

who can join

you must be at least 18 years old to enroll.

what you get

the program includes what's described on the sales page at the time you enroll: weekday lessons, sunday guided meditations, a workbook, a private community, and four live q&a calls. we may adjust schedules or details if we need to, and we'll let you know if we do.

payment and refunds

prices are listed on the sales page. if you choose the payment plan, all installments are due even if you stop participating. all sales are final — see our refund policy.

your access is personal

everything in the program — videos, meditations, slides, the workbook, and recordings — belongs to selfworkaholic. it's licensed to you for your personal use only. please don't share your login, resell, post, or redistribute any of it.

the community

the private community and live calls only work if they feel safe. be kind, don't give other members advice they didn't ask for, and keep what others share inside the group. we may remove anyone who harasses others or breaks these terms, without a refund.

no guarantees

everyone's experience is different, and we can't promise any particular outcome, including meeting a partner. to the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the program.

the legal bits

these terms are governed by the laws of the state of new york. if we update them, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
